The tequila is an excellent ingredient for making tasty cocktails. Here you will a list of some of the best cocktails that you can prepare using tequila. In this list we included different kind of cocktails. From the classic margarita to more exotic drinks, such as the Cosmo margaritas.

1) Strawberry Kiwi Margarita

Ingredients

  • 60 ml Blue Nectar Silver
  • 10 ml lime juice
  • 15 ml agave nectar
  • 7 ml strawberry liqueur
  • 3 strawberries
  • Half of one kiwi, peeled

Instructions

Muddle kiwi and strawberry together. Then combine the rest of the ingredients in a shaker. Shake and strain, garnish with a strawberry and kiwi slice.

2) Paloma

Paloma

  • 30 ml Silver Tequila
  • 30 ml grapefruit juice
  • 1 fresh lime juice
  • 10 ml agave nectar

Instructions

Pour tequila with grapefruit juice, agave and lime juice and shake. Serve the cocktail in a salted (half-moon style) Collins glass.

3) Tequila Sunrise

Tequila Sunrise

  • 60 ml Tequila Reposado
  • 30 ml Lillet Rouge
  • .5 ml agave nectar
  • 60 ml grapefruit juice
  • 1 lime juice
  • Lime wedge to garnish

Instructions

In highball glass add Lillet Rouge with ice. Then add the rest of the ingredients to a shaker. Shake. Strain into highball slowly so as not to incorporate Lillet in the cocktail. Garnish with lime.

4) Blood Orange Tequila Cocktail

Blood Orange Tequila

  • ice
  • chilled blood orange soda
  • fresh mint
  • 60 ml tequila
  • 50 ml of cranberry

Instructions

Combine tequila and blood orange juice over ice. Then add the sparkling water.

5) Classic Margarita

Margarita Classic

  • 40 ml tequila
  • 10 ml agave
  • 25 ml lime juice, approximately 1 lime
  • 40 ml triple sec
  • ⅛ tsp coarse salt

Instructions

Combine all the ingredients into a shaker and mix well the ingredients. Then rub a lime wedge over the rim of the glass and dip into coarse salt. After that, put some ice into the glass and pour the cocktail. Garnish with lime wedge.

6) Vampiro

Vampiro

  • 40 ml tequila
  • ice cubes
  • 60 ml sangrita (mexican style bloody mary mix with lime and orange)
  • 25 ml lime juice, approximately 1 lime
  • 1 pinch of chili-lime seasoning (Tajin)
  • 60 ml citrus flavored soda

Instructions

In a highball glass with ice, pour in tequila, sangrita, citrus soda, lime juice, and chili-lime seasoning. Mix well the cocktail.

7) Negroni

Negroni

  • 30 ml silver tequila
  • 30 ml sweet vermouth
  • 30 ml Campari
  • One orange wheel for garnishing

Instructions

Fill a rock glass with ice. Then pour to the glass the tequila, Campari and vermouth. Mix well. Finally garnish the cocktail with the wheel of orange.

8) Cosmo margarita

Cosmo margarita

  • 40 ml silver tequila
  • 25 ml cranberry juice
  • 10 ml lemon juice
  • 10 ml DeKuyper Triple Sec

Instructions

Add all the ingredients to a shaker. Mix well and strain into a cocktail glass. Finally garnish the glass with a lemon twist

9) Tequila mojito

Tequila mojito

  • 25 ml silver tequila or tequila reposado
  • 25 ml club soda
  • 4 teaspoons sugar
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 12 large fresh mint leaves

Instructions

In a highball glass mix sugar, mint and lime juice.Muddle the mint leaves with the back of a spoon or fork until the sugar dissolves. Fill the glass with ice. Add tequila and club soda; stir well the cocktail.

10) Mimosa Margarita

Tequila mojito

  • 300 ml frozen concentrated orange juice
  • ice
  • 1 fresh orange
  • Salt
  • 100 ml tequila
  • 25 ml orange liquor

Instructions

In a blender, combine all the ingredients except the salt and the oranges. Cut the oranges into wedges. Use one of the wedges to rub the rim of the glasses and dip the glasses in salt. Pour the mix into the glasses and garnish with an orange wedge.
